The Oklahoma State Department of Education joins with the Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education and the Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma for the 27th Annual State Superintendent Awards for Arts Excellence. It is important to recognize school boards, school administrators, and fine arts educators who have exhibited leadership in schools and communities throughout Oklahoma. During the ceremony we will recognize an outstanding school board, school administrators, and fine arts educators for their leadership and support of quality arts education and academic excellence in Oklahoma schools.
Along with school boards, administrators, and educators, high school juniors and seniors are recognized who have achieved artistic and academic excellence. Representatives of the Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education will review all nominations during the selection process. This year’s awards ceremony will take place at the Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie, Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 7 p.m. Click here to view the 2016 State Superintendent’s Award recipients.
